In 2010 I graduated from the University of Pretoria where I obtained my LLB Law Degree followed by 2 years of articles.
During this period in my life I had to work extremely long hours feeling drained daily, not only from putting a lot of hours in but skipping meals and some days not eating a single thing basically living on Coffee, Coffee and more Coffee!!
“I’m just too busy to exercise”
/ ””I don’t have any time for myself”..
This was my approach whenever I heard the word “Gym”
or living a “healthy” lifestyle!
I’ve always been lucky enough to eat whatever I wanted and still managed to stay in “good” shape,
however I envied the “typical toned athlete” look.
I attended a seminar in February 2014
where I was blessed enough to meet top athletes who shared their fitness journey with me.
I was instantly hooked and decided to change my lifestyle.
Not only has my fitness lifestyle bloomed
I also ended up doing something I also dreamed of doing,
I’ve become a total gym rat
and Squats are without a doubt my favourite weightlifting exercise,
I basically love any exercise that targets my booty!
My goal for the future would definitely be to better my physique
by building more lean muscle,
especially a more toned booty
and of course I intend on obtaining my Pro Card in 2015.
At the end of the day the only competition I have is myself!
Training alone doesn’t build muscle;
a proper diet plan is of fundamental importance.
Dieting doesn’t have to be dull or boring,
I love getting creative in the kitchen!
My absolute favourite meal of the day would have to be my
(using only the best 100% Cipla Nutrition Whey ),
yogurt and peanut butter dessert just before bed..
who doesn’t love peanut butter ?!
I’ve learned throughout my fitness journey
that a goal without a plan is just a wish!
Stop wishing and start doing!
Consider nothing impossible and treat possibilities as probabilities.
We learn from failure, not success.
If getting active and staying healthy were easy,
everyone would do it!
I truly hope I can inspire others
in future in the same way I have been inspired!
None of us are born with it,
we have to work for it!
Write down your goals,
commit to them and stick to them!
Live with purpose and passion and find that one thing
in life that inspires you to push through those difficult days
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”!!
